…Lauds its Problem-Solving Policy for flood victims

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Yahaya Bello has praised the policy thrust of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC), aimed at addressing the recurring challenges of flooding whilst cushioning its effects by improving the living standards of residents of host communities in the State.

He spoke through his Deputy, His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja, when he recieved members of the Commission, led by Chairman of Governing Council, Hon. Joseph Terfa Ityav at the Banquet Hall of the State Government House in Lokoja, on Tuesday.

Chief Onoja, on behalf of the Governor, welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude to God for using President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, to expedite the actualization of the Commission and its mandate, hinting that, like member states of Niger, Kwara, Kebbi, Benue and Plateau, Kogi as the Confluence State, holds a significant position for its activities.
