The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Chief Edward Onoja was today, the 24th of August, present at the Service of Songs of the Late Madam Deborah Oluwasusi Agbesua-Oluwalade, the Matriarch of the Oluwalade family and Mother to the Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lokoja Chapter, Pastor Michael Ajayi Oluwalade. Mama Deborah Oluwalade passed away on the 27th of March, 2020 at the age of 95.

Chief Onoja said that getting to the age of 95 is a glorious accomplishment for any human being, which a lot of people fail to achieve during their lifetime. He prayed for the benevolence, grace and mercy of God to help everyone present at the Service to get to, and surpass, that age.

He stated that despite the fact that he never met her during her lifetime, the evidence of the type of person Mama Deborah Oluwasusi was is evident in the paths which all of her children have chosen to take – being active soldiers for Christ. He urged all members of her family, her grand children and great grand children to follow in her footsteps, and to use the gospel of Christ to correct the wrongs of society one step at a time.
